Here is where I write about sexuality and relationships from my own perspective. This can be a mixture of opinion, commentary, news, information, advice, pointers to useful resources, and more.

This newsletter’s content discusses a wide range of sexuality and relationship topics, many of them at the “edges” of the mainstream. Therefore, please only subscribe to this newsletter if you are of legal age. That said, I have no plans to publish graphic imagery or erotica. This is definitely content aimed at the more intellectual side of the topics covered. Still, I write specifically for adults and only wish adults to subscribe.

As a gay man, sometimes my posts might focus on LGBTQ communities, but I find all of sexuality and relationship dynamics fascinating and plan to write as broadly as I can on topics everyone can find relevant.

For those who don’t know me, I’ve been an organizer, writer, educator, speaker, and activist in the LGBTQ, leather/kink, polyamory, and HIV/STI prevention realms since 1973. I’m an author, widely published writer, active speaker, community organizer, project leader, and I’ve received numerous national and local awards, the latest of which was The Academy SF 2022 Diane Jones Solidarity Award.

My other Substack, Musings of a Curious Mind, is where I write about things I read, listen to, or watch: articles, nonfiction and fiction books, stories, movies, videos, poetry, podcasts, television series, and so on. If I consider it quality content for whatever reason, it’s fair game. Or, I might simply write about a topic of interest not directly related to content elsewhere. I’ll likely keep most of the content about sexuality and relationships on this newsletter page though.

You can find links to many of my projects, writings, and social media at this link.

Despite the focus of this Substack newsletter, I consider myself a generalist. I find most of life interesting and sometimes fascinating. My social media tag line lately has been “Generalist. I learn. I think. Sometimes I write about it.” That pretty much sums it up and I carry that mindset into these topics as well.

You are welcome to read this content for free, but your subscription would be greatly appreciated.
