Some Useful Links
Here are links to a few of the people and sites I subscribe to that I feel have substantive and quality content about kink.
There’s a lot of great content online these days through which you can learn about kink and kink-adjacent topics.
In this post I’m listing just a few of the people and sites to which I subscribe in case my blog readers might find them useful.
Note that I’m a white cisgender kinky older gay man and some of these links might lean into that identity more than might your list if your interests differ. Still, I think kinksters from all walks of the scene will get something out of all this content.
Watts the Safeword
This might seem self-serving because I’ve appeared on this show a few times and have a tight affiliation with my friends Pup Amp and Mr. Kristofer through another channel/podcast, On Guard Cigar Salon. But long before On Guard existed or I had appeared on Watts the Safeword, I had been giving out the link to their site to anyone asking “where do I get started” when exploring kink.
Watts the Safeword is an all-inclusive LGBTQ+ sex education and BDSM lifestyle media channel. They focus on LGBTQ+ inclusive content that aims to break down stigmas surrounding sex while educating viewers in a fun and inclusive way.
Evie Lupine
Evie is a peer educator on BDSM, kink, and alternative lifestyles. Her objective is to help everyone find their own personal truth as it relates to their sexuality, their desires, and their relationship needs.
I find Evie’s perspective reality-based with sound information and guidance about kink.
Wicked Ways Studio
Great podcast that covers a wide-ranging set of topics with much of it about kink, BDSM, and related aspects of sexuality and relationships.
I’ve been on this show multiple times because I find the interviewer maintains an honest curiosity about what his guests think. His solo podcasts or those done with his partner are superb also.
Mashable After Dark
Their tagline suggests you “get the inside scoop from our leading sex and dating experts, along with tantalizing tips, tricks, how-tos, and much more,” but I subscribe to this free newsletter because every so often there’s a great article about some aspect of kink, radical sexuality, or alternative relationship approaches.
National Coalition for Sexual Freedom (NCSF)
Link (blog)
Link (newsletter)
This nonprofit organization does some wonderful work of tremendous value to kinksters and relationship adventurers, but their blog and free newsletter are also always packed with great articles and information.
The Sensitive Slut
My friend Mike Gerle recently started a Substack blog on which he discusses sex and kink from his perspective having, as he himself says, more than his fair share of sex. Specifically gay male focused but I think everyone might find it of interest.
There’s lots more out there!
These are just a few of the many quality online resources available to kinksters. The more we learn, know, and share, the stronger will be our kink communities and the better will be our sex lives and relationships.
Type either “best kink blogs 2023” or “best kink channels 2023” into a search engine and you’ll see a bunch of other interesting sites and channels. Note that you’re likely to get a lot of search results returned for mostly heterosexual-leaning links. Add in the word “gay” or some other narrowing search criteria to drill down deeper.
