Pillion
A timid man is swept off his feet when an enigmatic, impossibly handsome biker takes him on as his submissive.
On February 12, 2026, I was honored to be asked to lead the audience Q&A after the San Francisco premiere screening of the movie Pillion.
Writer and Director, Harry Lighton, and co-star Harry Melling, were kind, transparent, and thoughtful during the Q&A. I got to know them a bit that night and they’re both stellar human beings.
Here in the discussion I had on stage with Lighton and Melling and the Q&A portion with the audience. (Spoiler alert: Talks about some key plot points if you haven’t already seen the movie.)
Although it has been in theaters elsewhere for a while, Pillion is just now seeing general release in the United States. Check it out.
It’s a thought-provoking movie that seeks to offer realistic portrayals of gay kinksters without claiming to be representative of all kinksters. It’s masterful storytelling and acting, but I think perhaps the movie’s greatest contribution is to stimulate discussions within both kink communities and the general viewing public.
Even though the setting and narrative are very specific, the emotional journey the film takes you on feels universal. Everyone can walk away from seeing Pillion changed because it makes you wrestle with human primal needs within the context of the imperfect people we all are and the complexities of the lives we lead.
